Six tips for selecting a winning venue

How do you select a winning venue? One that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg but meets your needs?

Here are six tips from the dedicated event experts at GIO Stadium and Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC).

• Assess location. You want convenience but might not need the expense of being in the city centre. Our venues are only 5 to 8 minutes from the city.

• Think transportation. Select a venue that is readily accessible by public transport with plenty of free parking for those who drive.

• Choose experience. Venues with onsite event teams are expert at helping you plan and implement.

• Select flexible spaces. This means you can easily configure spaces for your needs. GIO accommodates up to 700 guests and EPIC up to 1,900 guests.

• Think comfort. Many of our spaces feature natural light and have access to fresh air.

• Factor in fun. Think about unique team building exercises, indoors or outdoors. GIO has behind-the-scenes tours. EPIC is set on 70 hectares of natural bush with endless possibilities.
