• Mount Lofty House, MGallery by Sofitel, has unveiled its new-look guest rooms following a major refurbishment project. The project took place over 12 months and was carefully considered to ensure the 167-year-old Adelaide Hills property retained its historic charm.
• Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific, located on the New South Wales Central Coast, has confirmed it will refurbish its conference and event facilities in 2019. The major refurbishment is set to take place during June and July this year and will be the first full renovation of the space in the last 10 years.
• Moxy Hotels, part of Marriott International, will make its Australian debut with the opening of Moxy Melbourne South Yarra. Slated to open in July 2021, the new-build hotel will offer 180 rooms and will be located a short walk from Chapel Street and South Yarra Station.
• The Gold Coast is gearing up to welcome a new 400-capacity super yacht entertainment venue, dubbed The Yot Club. Custom-built from the water up, The Yot Club is the latest vessel from Gold Coast company Crystal Blue Yacht Charters, and will offer a multi-purpose stage and three cocktail bars set over two levels.
• Cairns has welcomed a brand new rooftop bar and restaurant, Rocco, soaring 12 floors above the Tropical North Queensland city. Situated on top of Riley, a Crystalbrook Collection Resort, the venue features 270-degree views overlooking the picturesque coastline.
• The Gold Coast’s highly anticipated beachfront venue Burleigh Pavilion has officially opened to guests. Located in Burleigh Heads, the 600-pax venue comprises a full-service restaurant, The Tropic, and a more casual bar area, The Terrace.
• Calabria Family Wines has expanded its operations with a new cellar door in the Barossa Valley. Established in the New South Wales Riverina in 1945, the family-owned business is now solidifying its commitment to one of Adelaide’s renowned wine-producing regions.
• TFE Hotel’s Vibe Hotel Sydney has undergone a major transformation, to reveal refurbished rooms, conferencing spaces and a new dining concept. The Goulburn Street property’s 198 guest rooms, including 13 suites, have a new modern look, inspired by a rich blue and natural timber colour palette.
• Ovolo Woolloomooloo has taken top honours as the best hotel in Australia, according to TripAdvisor’s annual Travellers’ Choice awards.
