The property comprises 76 hotel rooms, 40 one and 2 two-bedroom apartments and a 70-seat restaurant.

The Forrest Hotel and Apartments was built in 1964 with the original name of Forrest Lodge. It was a very innovative property for its time. The Forrest Hotel and Apartments is a home away from home for many past and present Federal politicians and was at one stage owned by 5 politicians. The Forrest Hotel and Apartments contains Sherwood Restaurant, the Nottingham Conference Room.
