‘Dare the Boss’ Campaign Q Station – Ghostly Sleepover
The EAN staff were excited at the chance to come up with a fitting Dare for Natasha Cannon to participate in the ‘Dare The Boss’ Campaign to raise much needed funds for the Children’s Cancer Institute.
Their creativity started with many fabulous ideas being thrown around including a bath full of snakes or jumping out of a plane, even getting her to sing in public, but finally deciding on a midnight ghost tour and ghostly sleepover in a haunted dormitory at Q Station!
Q Station were all too happy to oblige, not only offering a sleeping spot for her, but opening up their dormitory for any other boss or colleague to join her as well!
The date was set for 19 October and the fund raising page was launched on the Dare the Boss website to ensure she received enough of a donation incentive so she had to go through with the dare!
The evening started at 6.30pm, which saw Natasha and various other bosses meet at the gates of Q Station along with 3 very loyal EAN staff who were double dared to join her (huge thanks to Abby, Jil and Kate!). After a scrumptious dinner at the Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant on site at Q Station, the team were off to find some ghosts hosted by Deb, the fabulous spooky tour guide.
The dare also attracted a local film crew to come along and capture the evening and we are told that footage will be available for you all to see soon…
The group was not alone as we also had a psychic medium join us, who, during the tour, was overcome by a ghost, not only on one occasion, but two! And yes, it is all on film!
Let’s just say that Q Station is a very scary place at night and when you have a load of people all holding lanterns and EMF (Electronic Magnetic Field) Detectors of which lights up if there is a presence /ghost detected, it was definitely an ideal dare for the EAN team to come up with!
Everyone said that they felt like there was someone watching them during the night and everyone had that eerie feeling and those little hairs on your neck standing up on more than one occasion. The shower block was voted by far the scariest building at the Q Station, and that was just the ghost tour…
Everyone then had to stay in the haunted dormitory – at least they all made it back to tell the stories and Q Station has already offered to host the same dare for next year… something to keep in mind for your boss perhaps?
