P&O Cruises’ Pacific Eden’s Theatres Take Centre Stage
The spotlight will shine on P&O Cruises’ Pacific Eden this month, having emerged from a multi-million dollar dry dock with two newly refurbished theatres.
The 55,820-tonne vessel completed a 12-day transformation in Singapore ahead of the start of what was to be her highly-anticipated Cairns cruise season. Pacific Eden will home-port from Sydney from November 2017.
Pacific Eden’s two-storey Marquee Show Theatre has been given a stylish new look and feel with a dramatic black, white and emerald-green colour scheme, custom wallpaper and unique artworks.
Alternative venue space The Dome has been updated to take on a contemporary nautical theme with dark navy blue and white hues, drapes and soft lighting.
Select suites and balcony cabins have received new carpets and outdoor furniture whilst the Torquay Theatre, the spa and gym have also been revitalised. In total, 11,000 square metres of new carpet was fitted on the 1500-guest ship.
Pacific Eden’s spell in dry dock followed the ship’s extensive three-week refurbishment undertaken alongside sister-ship Pacific Aria in late 2015.
P&O Cruises Corporate Groups Sales Manager Rebecca Mutanen said the latest refurbishment provided two stylish and modern venues for conference and incentive groups.
“The Marquee Show Lounge, The Dome and Torquay Theatre are Pacific Eden’s most popular venues for the MICE market and their new design will provide a welcoming, fresh area for organisations looking to host corporate groups on the ship” Ms Mutanen said.
Pacific Eden's cruises include a 4-night Whitsundays cruise departing Cairns on 12 September, 2017. Fares start from $249 per person quad share.
