LUNA PARK VENUES WELCOME ALTUM!
Altum Restaurant, a Sydney venue with Mediterranean flavours, docked at Milsons Point, just adjacent to Luna Park Sydney, in late November.
More recently known as The Deck Sydney, Altum Restaurant boasts spectacular views over Sydney Harbour to the Opera House and debuts with a summer menu that draws on the flavours of the Mediterranean coastline.
Local and seasonal produce is given the star treatment with entrees including burrata with grilled and marinated eggplant, mint and currants, grilled scampi with tarragon citrus, confit and smoked duck with celeriac and mandarin, and White River veal with anchovy and capers. See menu here
Taking the helm at Altum is new Head Chef, Dionisio Randazzo (pictured below), formerly Sous Chef at Pyrmont's Balla. Randazzo is the driving force behind Altum's uncomplicated approach - source amazing local ingredients, prepare cleverly and serve simply.
Randazzo, who hails from Sicily, says "It's hard not to compare Australia with the beautiful Mediterranean especially when I come from its heartland, Sicily. Both lifestyles and food share a melting pot of flavours and how I like to eat and cook - great produce, cooked simply."
