1. Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) in Sydney’s Darling Harbour will debut a brand new waterfront pavilion from 10 Nov. Named after Captain Cook’s HMB Endeavour, the Endeavour Pavilion can seat up to 200 guests or 350 cocktail style.
2. What is the world's busiest airport? It also found that rapid growth of air travel in Asia is changing the industry. 3. A new initiative to unearth Brisbane’s up-and-coming industry and research leaders while showcasing the city as an attractive business events destination was launched today by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk.
4. Louis T Collection and owners H&M Capital Pty Ltd have commissioned a diverse team of architects and designers to remodel the existing New Esplanade Hotel. The original hotel, that opened in 1898 and was demolished in 1972, was a popular and architecturally significant landmark.
5. Mercure Alice Springs Resort officially joined the AccorHotels network last week.

The Mayor of Alice Springs, Damien Ryan, community leaders and the local Arrente community, as well as staff and local business people came together to celebrate the new partnership and to unveil the hotel’s new Ilthe Akethe-Le outdoor meeting place. The 139-room resort has just undergone a $2 million upgrade of its rooms and facilities.
7. Star Ratings Australia, the country’s only independent accommodation rating scheme, will close up shop from 30 June. Michael Reed the chief executive officer of Australian Motoring Services (the company which manages the program) said while they are proud to have provided its members with a valuable and respected scheme, the business model has slowly become obsolete in recent years. Star Ratings has been in operation since the 1950s, and at the height of its success there were 15,000 star rated properties across Australia.
8. Gold Coast Airport lands $50M Rydges Hotel. A $50 Million Rydges Hotel with a rooftop bar and viewing deck will be the jewel in the crown of Gold Coast Airport when complete in 2019.
9. Inside the new Novotel Melbourne South Wharf. he new $150 million Novotel Melbourne South Wharf, which is on track to open in March 2018, has revealed a first look into its 347 guestrooms and suites which will set a new ‘gold standard’ in guest rooms and hotel interior design.
10. Introducing FV by Peppers, Brisbane’s newest luxury property. Mantra Group’s newest luxury property, FV by Peppers, has opened in Brisbane. FV by Peppers is the hotel offering at the new AUD$600 million FV development on Alfred Street in Fortitude Valley, which also boasts the FV Peppers Residences luxury long-term letting offering.
