It’s the race that stops the nation and today food&desire are thrilled to announce we’ll be right there, trackside, as one of the hospitality partners for the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
We’ll be bringing our winning mindset – and distinguished style – to The Birdcage in November, to ensure racegoers have an extraordinary, unforgettable Cup Day and carnival.
“This is the birth of something new for food&desire. Our philosophy is creating event experiences that engage all the senses,” says managing director Asaf Smoli.
Smoli and Leigh Worcester, and their dedicated team of culinary creatives, have been frontrunners on the catering scene since launching food&desire nearly two decades ago.
They’ve hosted hundreds of memorable events in their singular venues - Carousel at Albert Park Lake, Aerial in South Wharf, Harbour Room in St Kilda and South Melbourne’s striking new space, Half Acre - in some of Melbourne’s most unique spaces and most recently at the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix.
“We could not be more excited to play a part in one of Melbourne’s must-go social events. The city loves food, it always desires something new and the spring racing carnival is the perfect time to see what blooms.
