Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney Celebrates a Milestone
Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney celebrates one year into the renovation of its function spaces.
In 2017, the hotel underwent a stunning, contemporary renovation on levels one and two. The space on level one, originally Charr Restaurant, transformed into what is now one of the hotels most popular venues, the Hart Room. A variety of events have been accommodated in Hart; from corporate meetings up to 70 guests, to boardrooms dinners and intimate wedding receptions for 30 to 60 guests.
The new interior scheme of the Hart Room departs from traditional meeting spaces and introduces the warmth of oversized, hand-beaten brass light shades to the ceiling. The warm texture of timber lining boards, along the walls, create an elegant and stylish environment.
The refurbished spaces feature an abundance of natural light, pillar-less ballroom and meeting rooms, along with state-of-the-art equipment. The level two conference area interior was inspired by the links of a chain; symbolising the strength and unity that bonds the individual parts into a whole. Similarly, when individuals meet as a team for enterprise or for celebration, a bond is formed between the individuals.
As a direct result of the renovation, the hotel has secured a significant amount of new conferencing and meeting business. The spaces now appeal to a sophisticated weddings and special occasion’s clientele. The impressive Whiteley Ballroom has hosted many successful events in the last year; including a highly successful charity lunch for Melbourne Cup, numerous large-scale conferences and grand weddings.
The Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney offers quality food and beverage packages, along with a dedicated events team to assist with all your conferencing and events requirements. With the focus on delivering unique and memorable experiences, each banqueting menu is personally created by Amora’s team of expert Chefs, showcasing locally sourced produce, reflecting the hotels farm-to-table ethos.
Table Talk with Executive Chef Mohammed Taheri
Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney talks to Executive Chef, Mohammed Taheri, about the hotel’s farm-to-table concept and his creation behind the banqueting menus.
Q: What is your method behind the creation of the banqueting menus, and why it is important to incorporate your ethos?
A: ‘The Banquet menu concept strongly emphasises on NSW regional produce, focusing on fresh ingredients and high quality products from local farmers. The farm-to-table scene is a refreshing trend in today’s hectic, technology-driven world. The movement brings us back to basics and encourages fresh, simple foods. Our guests understand and appreciate the value of eating local, seasonal, healthy food. Amora’s team of highly professional Chefs are embracing the farm-to-table concept. We believe it is fundamental to create new dishes with a WOW factor that represent and encourage healthy coffee breaks and corporate lunches. Executive Chef, Mohammad Taheri.
Q: Tell us what your favourite dishes are from the Banquet Menus.
A: My favourite locally produced dishes from our menus are; Master cut Meat Wagyu beef with beetroot relish and an Arthur’s brioche bun; Vanilla farm Buffalo ricotta with Malfroy’s Gold hone and Ciabatta; Bilpin’s orchard apple tart with cinnamon Pepe Saya mascarpone. Executive Chef, Mohammad Taheri.
